Meet the Nova Chiropractic Massage Therapy Team

Diane Smith, Body Wave Massage

Diane, a certified massage therapist, has worked with Dr. Heather Shaw at Nova Chiropractic since 2000. Working in a clinical setting has allowed her to experience a variety of injuries and general health issues ranging from stress reduction to serious injuries.

Diane's technique has evolved through working with her clients; helping them to recover from injuries that cause pain and muscle dysfunction. Specialties include repetitive stress injuries both work and sports related; chronic pain; and personal injuries (car accidents, slips, trips, falls, etc.) causing acute pain and decreased range of motion.

She also helps to improve overall health through massage by reducing stress and relaxing the body so healing and rejuvenation can occur.

Her education and knowledge in a variety of modalities allows her to individualize each clients experience to achieve better health.

Dr. Shaw Asks some important questions of interest to Santa Clara residents - Chiropractor Santa Clara Dr. Shaw Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
